Photography in Perth

Photography in Perth is still photographs for a business, shot on location across Greater Perth. Portraits, commercial stills and event photography each have their own page if you already know which one you need.

What photography covers

Photography here is the stills that sit beside the film work, or stand on their own. Portraits, a premises, a product, a day in the life of a job. We talk about where the pictures will be used before we shoot, because a photo for a homepage and a photo for a tender are framed differently. You get a set you can publish, with the frames that do not earn their place taken out.

Apply to work with us

We don't work with everyone. Before anyone books a shoot, they go through an application and onboarding process, because the work only lands properly when the fit is right. Here's what that looks like.

The fit call

We work out whether we're right for each other. We're looking for ambitious people who want to grow and aren't afraid to put themselves out there, and clients who want an ongoing partnership rather than a one-off shoot. Retainers are where the results actually show up, because content compounds.

The goals call

This is where we get into your business. What you're trying to achieve, what success looks like, what the content needs to do. It's also where you get to know us. By the time we're pointing a camera at you, we're not strangers, and that's most of the reason people look comfortable in our footage.

The set up

You get permission to be imperfect. We send through the shot list, then run a brainstorming session on what we're recording and the strategy behind it. If you'd rather be directed live on the day, we can do that instead.

Filming day

Coaching and refining. My job is to make you feel comfortable and to keep pulling until the message is clear. My rule is simple: if it's unclear to me, it's unclear to the viewer. Nothing gets shot without a reason behind it.

Chat

We talk about what the pictures are for, and which ones you already know you need before the day starts.

If a page on the site is waiting on pictures, or a campaign is stuck without them, start there.

02

Plan

The locations, the people, and the list of shots, so the day has a shape and still has room for a picture we did not predict.

The shot list is what we promise to get, and the last part of the day stays open for something better.

Create

The shoot. We work through the list, and we leave time for the frame that only shows up once we are there.

People get a moment to settle. The picture you will actually use is rarely the first frame.

Deliver

An edited set, ready to drop into a site, a document, or a post, without you having to sort a memory card.

The set arrives edited and named, so you can use a picture without sorting a card of two hundred.

Questions about photography

How much does photography cost?

Every shoot is quoted after we know the shot list. There is no set price on this page, because the day is built around what the pictures are for.

When should I use the other photography pages?

This page is the general stills job. Portraits, commercial stills and event photography each have their own page if you already know which one you need.

Where do you shoot?

On location across Greater Perth. Past jobs have also been photographed in the Wheatbelt. Travel outside Greater Perth is part of the first conversation.

What do you get back?

An edited set, named, ready for a site, a document, or a post.

That’s what the first conversation is for. Tell us where your business is at, and we’ll tell you honestly what kind of content will move the needle.
