What event photography covers

Event photography is the still record of a day. Speakers, the room, the conversations in the break, the details a host wants to remember. We move through the program without stopping it. Afterwards you get a set that shows the day as it felt, useful for the next invitation and for the people who were there. If we are also filming, the photographs and the footage come from the same visit.

Apply to work with us

We don't work with everyone. Before anyone books a shoot, they go through an application and onboarding process, because the work only lands properly when the fit is right. Here's what that looks like.

01

Two people in conversation at a Perth event.

The fit call

We work out whether we're right for each other. We're looking for ambitious people who want to grow and aren't afraid to put themselves out there, and clients who want an ongoing partnership rather than a one-off shoot. Retainers are where the results actually show up, because content compounds.

02

The goals call

This is where we get into your business. What you're trying to achieve, what success looks like, what the content needs to do. It's also where you get to know us. By the time we're pointing a camera at you, we're not strangers, and that's most of the reason people look comfortable in our footage.

The set up

You get permission to be imperfect. We send through the shot list, then run a brainstorming session on what we're recording and the strategy behind it. If you'd rather be directed live on the day, we can do that instead.

Filming day

Coaching and refining. My job is to make you feel comfortable and to keep pulling until the message is clear. My rule is simple: if it's unclear to me, it's unclear to the viewer. Nothing gets shot without a reason behind it.

How a job runs

Once you're in.

01

Chat

We talk through the run sheet, the moments that matter, and who needs the pictures once the room has emptied.

If a sponsor or a speaker has to have their own pictures, name them before the day so they are on the list.

Plan

Where we will stand, which sessions to cover, and any group photographs that have to happen at a set time.

Group photographs get a set time. Everything else we find as the room moves.

03

Create

The day itself. We photograph the room as it moves, and the details that explain where everyone was.

We work the edges of the room as well as the stage. The conversations in the break are part of the day.

Deliver

An edited set from the day, soon enough that you can use it while people still remember being there.

The set is edited down to the pictures you would actually post, while people still remember being there.

Questions about event photography

How much does event photography cost?

Every event is quoted after we see the run sheet and which moments have to be covered. There is no set price on this page.

What do you photograph?

The room, the speakers, and the conversations in the break, at corporate events, networking nights and awards across Greater Perth.

Do you travel for events?

The usual work is Greater Perth. Past event films and stills have also come from the Wheatbelt. Whether this event can be outside Greater Perth is part of the first conversation.

How soon do the pictures come back?

An edited set from the day, soon enough that you can use it while people still remember being there. The recap film, if you need one, is on the event video production page.
